Fort Wayne has always been a city where our citizens have joined together in the midst of crisis and rebuilt what was lost.

We now face one of the most challenging economic downturns since the Great Depression, and we as a city must join together to build hope in our children, parents, businessmen, foundations, companies, churches, schools and government.

That is why the City of Fort Wayne and Unity Performing Arts Foundation have joined forces to create "An Evening of Hope" for our great city. This event will be the first of its kind in our city and state.

The evening will be full of wonderful activities that will include:
  • Inspirational speakers
  • Dignitaries
  • Information booths offered by social services and businesses that can help our citizens with information and services they need
  • Information workshops
  • Food, fun and entertainment
  • A major concert production entitled "A Musical Journey of Hope – Change Will Come" under the direction of Marshall White
All festivities will begin at 3 p.m. on the grounds of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in and around Rhinehart Music Center. The concert begins at 6 p.m. All festivities are free to the public.
