Jacqueline Barros was born in Joliet, Illinois and moved to Fort Wayne at the age of 15. She has always had a special love for children; being the oldest of 8 children, dealing with children became second nature to her. Jacqueline was a Medical Assistant for 6 years in Tampa, Florida at All Children’s Specialty Hospital. She enjoys reading, bowling, and working with small children.
Jacqueline feels she has been blessed to be able to work with UNITY. The first time she attended a Voices of Unity Youth Choir concert, she knew right then and there that she “wanted to help” and told her daughter. Jaqueline did not know the process of how to get involved, but God presented an opportunity for her to be connected to UNITY through her association with Catholic Charities. And here she is now! Jacqueline is happy to be a part of the organization and can’t wait to become even more involved. She says “get used to this face!” She plans to be around as long as she can doing what she loves.
