What is the UNITY Drama Program?

The UNITY Performing Arts Foundation Drama Program introduces youth to the expressive and cultural power of theatre. This innovative initiative gives young people the opportunity to explore acting, stage performance, and storytelling while developing character, discipline, and self-confidence. UNITY’s approach integrates both classical European and African-American theatre traditions, helping students connect history, culture, and personal expression through performance.

What the Program Offers

Open to students ages 7–19, the program teaches acting fundamentals, stage presence, and creative expression. Participants learn the technical and emotional aspects of performance through script reading, improvisation, role study, and cultural exploration.
